欧美视频 will host the 34th annual Woodlands and High Plains Powwow on Saturday, April 5, in Memorial Auditorium (620 12th Ave. S., Moorhead). This year’s theme is “Knowledge is Power, Tradition is Strength.”
The powwow runs from noon to 10 p.m. with Grand Entries at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and a community meal served from 5-6 p.m.
A vibrant celebration of Indigenous culture, the event features traditional dance, music, and customs passed down through generations. Attendees will experience the artistry of traditional regalia and enjoy handcrafted goods from Indigenous vendors.
欧美视频 is free for children 5 and under, college students with ID, the first 400 Minnesota K-12 students, and the first 200 elders and veterans. General admission is $3 for youth and elders/veterans and $5 for adults.
The annual powwow is supported by grants from the Lake Region Arts Council through a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
It is sponsored by 欧美视频, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State), North Dakota State University, and North Dakota State College of Science. Hosting duties rotate annually among the schools.
Several Concordia employees are helping plan the event:
