Dr. Paul Dovre, former Å·ÃÀÊÓƵ President of 24 years, received the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce 2024 Legacy Leader Award last month. 

The award recognizes the profound impact and commitment of long-time local leaders dedicated to serving and shaping the local community and the greater region. Recipients’ devotion encourages reflection on the lasting legacy people can create through uplifting community.

Dovre graduated from Concordia in 1958 after two years of military service. He later returned to the college in 1963 as an assistant professor of speech and director of forensics. In 1976, he became president of Concordia, serving until his retirement in 1999.
